T-41 memory upgrade

#1 Post by ttan98 » Tue May 19, 2009 12:01 am

I bought a 2nd hand T41 cheap with 512M Ram, which is made up of 2 sticks of 256M and I assume the spec. is PC2100, DDR266 I think.

I like to upgrade to 1G and I have to change them to 2 sticks of 512M, what memory stick should I buy? Is type PC2700 suitable?

Thanks.

The factory specs for the T41 memory is PC2700 (333Mhz). Maximum memory is 2GB so you might be better off installing a single 1GB module now and that way you can expand to 2GB later on without having to "throw away" two 512MB modules.

Can I use PC2100 ram runs on T41 eventhough performance will suffer?
