Young (looking) enough to still get ID'd-

Old enough to be very, very proud of that!

Yeah, 18 does have some downs. It's actually rather odd because you can get drafted and you can vote but you can't smoke, not that I would, I hate cigarettes, but still, it's rather funny I think. I also think it's funny that 13 hours ago, I could have done anything in the world with my girlfriend and now I have to wait for her to age a few months before gaining that freedom back.

Well, I'm gonna have a dinner with some friends at my favorite buffet then after that, I have age 21 to aspire to.

At least here in NY the age for tobacco products is 18. Drinking is 21. Sorry to hear that down south you have to wait longer (though if you smoke, well, we'll keep my opinions of that to myself ;))

Some statutes have an age provision that if you're within a certain age gap its ok (eg a 16 and 15 year old), etc. Don't know about Ga. though.

16 is the legal age of consent in GA, but that's the least of your worries!

16-6-3 G *** CODE SECTION *** 10/15/99
16-6-3.
(a) A person commits the offense of statutory rape when he or she engages in sexual intercourse with any person under the age of 16 years and not his or her spouse, provided that no conviction shall be had for this offense on the unsupported testimony of the victim.
(Emphasis added!)

The statute is rarely enforced, but it's still on the books and has been used most recently to try some gay teenagers.

Well, I just realised I was wrong, I can smoke now, but I won't, those things smell like crap. Also, I have to excercize and I can imagine waht smoking will do to my athletic ability.

As for the girlfriend thing, I've decided not to worry about that either. I have to save for college and a car, possibly a new ThinkPad as well, one made in this century and having a girlfriend is just to expensive. No offense, I'm not implying anything, Im just saying the girl couldn't expect anything from me, and I'd rahter have no girl than a dissapointed one.

You have to be registered and logged in to use a poll or post in most other parts of the messageboard.

I thnk the worst ages are anything below 18. 19 and 20 totally suck. after that once you get about I'd say 49 things start sucking agian.

I know I'm still very young, but still, I felt so old the other day. I had to explain to a 7 year old what a Sega was. He was also blown away when he found out that when I was his age, there was no such thing as a color GameBoy. Next thing I know, I'll probably have people asking me what pagers are.

And if you think that I'm male, I am female (and that's also for everyone in the forum). But I don't mind being called "man"(like in the previous post) because I'm cool with it. 8)
