In the manual that came with my T42, there is a section on upgrading the hard disk drive. Unfortunately, it only deals with the removing and installing. No procedure is given on ways to configure the new drive. Phoning IBM did not help much. I prefer not to use a ghost type programme; I don’t mind having to re-install all my programmes. I have the recovery disks. I want to partition the 60 gig disk to have:
XP and programme files on one drive – 15 or 20 gig;
My documents on another drive;
The IBM’s hidden system restore on another – about 5 gig.
What is the best procedure to follow? Thank you for your input.
