t61 Recovery Partition Gone

#1 Post by neutrinofdl » Fri May 22, 2009 2:39 pm

I got a t61 and it was working okay the first day I got it. I had a Windows Vista update hang on update 3 of 3 and it wouldn't do anything. I had the recovery disks that came with the computer. I did the recovery and everything is working great but I noticed that the recovery partition got deleted and it got reallocated to the c drive. Did I do something wrong?

The recovery discs should have wiped the hard drive, installed the recovery partition and restored windows from the newly installed restore partition.
Look to see if you can create another set of recovery discs. If you can, you have a recovery partition.
