Can't delete any folders - Tried everything

Hi, I installed a fresh copy of windows XP with SP2 2 days ago, and everything was working fine until this morning. I can't delete any folder, wether it's on my local drives or on the network! It seems like Windows can't issue the delete command properly. There is no error whatsoever!!!. I can't rename either.

I tried many solutions but none worked:

- Booted in safe mode with both my regular and administrator account and deleted via explorer and the command prompt (with the explorer process killed)

- It doesn't matter if the folder is empty or full

- I tried SHIFT + DELETE, changing my recycle bin properties to delete immediately, none worked.

- I used WhoLockMe and it show that no process is locking it.

- I used FileMon from sysinternals.com and when I delete a folder, it logs this:

- I checked the security permission and everything's fine.

- The last thing I installed that could affect my system is Visual Studio.NET 2003.

- The security chip on my Thinkpad is disabled.

- If I create a folder, then I can't delete it but I CAN delete files no problem.

- I also did checkdisk (chkdsk C: /f)

Please, help me, I'm desesperate!!!!!

I found the culprit...

Visual Studio (or more precisely, .net framework 1.1)

I did a system restore just before my installation of VS2003 and everything is working fine now.

EDIT: I just noticed there's a service pack for .net 1.1, this may have fixed my problem...

Hmm, I installed VS 2003 many times, with and without the .NET Framework 1.1 SP1. But I never experienced this kind of problems.
