Sales tax...? Buying W700...

#1 Post by Crunch » Sat May 23, 2009 7:51 pm

Outside of North Carolina, where does Lenovo have any business interests. Do they charge sales tax in California???????? I'm buying their highest model lol...

When it was IBM, fair enough, they charged in many states (about half according to one rep a while ago)...so...is there tax outside its U.S. HQ in NC??

Thanks

Lenovo will charge you the same sales tax as if you went a mile down the road to a computer store and purchased a laptop. In other words, you will pay sales tax based on your zipcode. I don't know of any states where that would be an exception.
