Hi, my LCD's bust (reddish glow swansong for a few years then flickered and died, though a weak b/w image of windows still appears) and I found some replacement and this one LTN150XE-L01, although I find only some references to it as an A30-A31 LCD, is that a flexview and will it work with my A31p, I presume it will come without the inverter, can I assume my inverter works or shall I order it as well? (or other parts too?)

many thanks
Will LTN150XE-L01 lcd be compatible with my A31p

The LCD you reference is only an XGA screen (1024x768).
Best way to find out which part number you need, is to open the lid, remove the LCD and look at the P/N or FRU and the manufacturer/PN on the back of it.
From your description, all you need to do is replace the CCFL.
Cost about $10.- + shipping in DYI, but it's a job requiring a lot of skill and VERY steady hands.

The FRU that you should be looking for is 05K9967 which is an UXGA IPS FlexView LCD made by DBU for A30p and A31p.
