Changing the Language of Rescue & Recovery (Predesktop Area)

I purchased an R61i thinkpad in Hong Kong and I just found out that the Rescue and Recovery screen of the predesktop area is in Chinese. Is it possible for me to change this to English? If so, can someone please tell me how to do this? Note that I am using Windows XP and this is in English.
