Adobe FLASH Player for Win-7

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Thu May 28, 2009 11:01 pm

Would anyone know why Adobe Flash won't properly install in Win-7 ?

I have some training files and they will only work with Flash.

Thanks one and all, Steve :-)

I don't recall having any problem. What is the install error, and what browser are you using?

No problem here. There are 2 versions of the Flash Player, one for Internet Explorer, and one for all other browsers. If you use Internet Explorer and another browser such as Opera, Firefox, or SeaMonkey, you need to install both. The current version of Flash Player is 10.0.22.87. Note that there is also Adobe Shockwave Player.

You can test them here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

You have to make sure you are using a 32-bit browser. As of earlier this week, there was no 64-bit version of Flash available from Adobe. If you are using 32-bit and still cannot install flash, see if you can get an error message which should take you to a download site where you can download flash and then try to force install. ... SWF is generally an Adobe Flash video. You might be having a Javascript issue. Try using a different browser and see if that works. FWIW, I generally use the Opera browser. Currently in Windows 7 RC1 I am using Opera 10 alpha, build 1285. SeaMonkey is a good Mozilla-based general purpose browser that I also use.

Here is another test page: http://www.chemgapedia.de/vsengine/info ... flash.html
