ati3d1ag.dll - crash on WinXP

#1 Post by nagyr » Mon Jun 07, 2004 9:52 am

Hi,

Someone might help me...

When 'Im trying to play CMR4 on my T40 (2373-4BG), after a few second the OS crashes and the machine reboots.

Only a short message appears on a blue screen stating that:
ati3d1ag.dll caused error.

I use the latest ATI driver:

Version 7.983-040210m-013821C-IBM
Release Date 2004/04/12
vftp1gxp.exe 33,303,263byte

and the latest BIOS

Version 1RETC6WW (3.05a)
Release Date 2004/05/21
spsu1rc6.exe 1,360,022byte

IBM states, that it is the soulution (in the Release Notes), however I'm still having the problem.

Questions:
Does IBM have any othe driver which is suitable for this ATI hardware, or
has IBM any other solution , bug fix, update which solves this problem?

Does anyone met this problem at all?

Thanks for your answeres in advance.

You might try these drivers: http://www.omegacorner.com/index_ati.html

They are modded ATI generic drivers for stable game play. Its always wise to backup first before installing... just in case.

Use this program with the official ATI driver, and it won't crash.
