I can't upgrade my ram on X41

#1 Post by opicalmouse » Thu Jun 04, 2009 7:36 am

I have two X41 both 2525 serie. With one of them there is no problem till I break down the main board (was little crash test ) anyway. And as next I bought another one second hand with same specs just for using the mobo of it. The only diference between my bricked and new one are, that first one was 1.6 MHz 778 ULV and this one is 1.5 Mhz 758 ULV. I put the ram stick of 512MB which was in crashed one and no boot, I have also 1GB stick which was working on but also x41 can't boot. As next I check that the bios is older ver. I update it to last good known and this also with no efect. Let me know what I have to do as next?

May be the 2nd MB has a bad SODIMM socket. Try reflow the solder joints with a very fine soldering iron.

sjthinkpader maybe you are right. Its looks like you said. But maybe it is not for me. I can brick down again this mobo, maybe beter I have to give it to repairment service.
