T41 & X32 Chip Compatability
T41 & X32 Chip Compatability
Hi Could anyone tell me if the 2.0mhz cpu in my X32 is compatible with my T41 and likewise for the 1.6ghz chip in the T41. It would be nice to boost the T41 a little while the X32 is normally running at less than half speed so no harm there either.

They are compatible, BUT...
The CPU on the X32 is soldered to the motherboard. You cannot swap the CPU without swapping the motherboard. And of course the motherboards of the T and X series are incompatible...
Every time someone asks such a question, I can't help but feel that how STRANGE it is that Lenovo STILL uses BGA packaging for the X-series...
