Found ZIF HDD pads on X41 Tablet Motherboard

While I was giving my new-to-me X41 Tablet a cleaning from the inside out last night, I pulled the motherboard and, to my surprise, found the pads for what can only be a PATA ZIF connector on the underside of where the HDD header is.

If one were willing to have an SSD be semi-permanently installed, this opens up a lot of possibilities for those of us who are willing and able to obtain such a connector and the drive to match it.

There is an official adapter, you know. At some point IBM was handing out ZIF drives with adapters. May or may not be easier to find compared to messing with this.
