What's the machine type/model from the sticker on the bottom of the laptop?

Are you including the original licenses for these software? If not, you are legally required to remove them before selling the laptop. And without these softwares, I think your T60 is worth no more than $600 these days. Looking at your old posts, it looks like you bought this laptop in around March 2007. It's shocking how fast Thinkpads have depreciated. $2,500 was probably the sale price. I bet the original price was close to $3K!Alltweed wrote:**Lots of software(MSO, ESES, Zone alarm, Sony video editing, Camtasia 6.0, Snagit and more)

Between $450 and $550 depending on who's buying.

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
Interesting...
So apparently someone shelled out $685 for this T61p with known-to-be problematic and overheating nVidia GPU and no warranty, but a Flexview Core 2 Duo model with a year or so left on the warranty won't even be able to get $600?
This one seems to be a high-end machine, with the only strange thing being the fact that it has a read-only optical drive instead of a DVD burner. Also unclear whether it has Bluetooth. Like Harryc said, I think it would help to see the 7-digit model number (unless it is a CTO).

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
Towards the end they were discounting the IPS T60s pretty heavily. The config above was maybe $1200. I think the base with the T5500 and a DVD burner was about $950. I almost bought one.pianowizard wrote:It's shocking how fast Thinkpads have depreciated. $2,500 was probably the sale price. I bet the original price was close to $3K!

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
I'd say the base price is 450-600 $ for a basic T60 Flexview SXGA+ where the price only can go up when you have warranty, good battery time left, and not so much scratches. The software alone can give you 100 $ or more of worth.
For me, the T60 Flexview is the best available notebook until the 3000 $ range. I wonder what would happen if lenovo would sell the original T60 Flexview now with 3 year warranty. There maybe some people (4:3 ratio! rather good IPS screen!) that would pay premium for this product. Luckily - for the buyers - the prices on the T60 are cheap now
If you do not need more speed, I'd reconsider an upgrade from a T60 Flexview seriously.

Lenovo had a big sale documented right here where they were blowing out the last of the UXGA's for $1,899 with a 1 year warranty. That was the lowest price I ever saw for them directly from Lenovo.

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
FWIW I recently paid $750 (shipping included) for a T60P Dual 2 Core T7600 15" Flex with xga+. excellent condition with no wear.. However that included a targus computer case, 1 6-cell and 1 9-cell battery, dvd recorder player, 100GB 7200, 2 GB Ram, and a charger adapter which can also has an adapter to charge up in the car.
Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
And I recently paid $335 shipped (well, $300 after various eBay discounts) for a T60p 2007-WLY. Specs:
15" UXGA Flexview
Core Duo T2500 (2.0 GHz)
FireGL V5200
1 GiB (512 MiB x 2) RAM
80 GB 5400 RPM HDD
DVD multi burner
Bluetooth
Fingerprint
Atheros WiFi
9-cell
XP Home (contrary to what Lenovo says)
The catch was that it didn't come with a power adapter. It did, however, have 2 months of warranty left.

Power adapter or not, you got a kickass deal. Way below market value.bhtooefr wrote:And I recently paid $335 shipped (well, $300 after various eBay discounts) for a T60p 2007-WLY.
Interesting. You say it actually has an XP Home Lenovo-branded sticker on the bottom? That wouldn't be the first time they are wrong on the website, although it is pretty rare. Also they call it a T60, although UXGA and FireGL make it more suitable to call it a T60p, as you do... But I guess with CTO models, it's not always clear.bhtooefr wrote:XP Home (contrary to what Lenovo says)

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
Correct, it's got a Lenovo Singapore XP Home sticker, and when I put the serial number into Lenovo's parts lookup, it returns that it shipped with an XP Home COA.dr_st wrote:Interesting. And, it is definitely a T60p, not a T60 - the only place that it's claimed to be a T60 is in the Quick Path lookup.

Yep, someone unleashed quite a few of those, lowered the price for a few weeks, but they're going back up already...and yes, these are "p" models, definitely...seen three of them so far...from this very batch...great deal for the money, although one of them was a real bomb...

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
Mine needed a new heatsink (it had the wrong one...) and the palmrest replaced, but other than that, it seems good.

Re: What's my T60 "15 W/Flex View" worth on a good day?
I bought one for my gf from the exact same lot (my gf spotted it on ebay, and it was sold out before I could order another one for myself... grrrr). It's waiting in customs now. I hope they won't charge too much additional costs, although even with a 40% markup it'll be way below market prices in europe. T60p go for 550-650 euros easily on ebay.debhtooefr wrote:Mine needed a new heatsink (it had the wrong one...) and the palmrest replaced, but other than that, it seems good.
I'll check the fan-heatsink assembly and the palmrest when it arrives, thanks!
oh and I found a plain T60 with SXGA+ screen for about 315 euros inc. S&H + insurance to europe on ebay.com. That's also in customs now. Hopefully they won't think I'm some mass importer of thinkpads T60s
