Hey everyone-

Our Design Firm recently purchased 6 of these Thinkpads. Unfortunately, one of our users is going to need a Mac-Book Pro instead, so that leaves us with one extra w700ds. Instead of giving Lenovo the 15% for re-stocking, I'm listing it here in the forum for what we paid minus 15%. Hopefully someone can take advantage of the discount and save us the 30 days it'll take to get a refund from Lenovo.

What we paid -15% = $4985.00

I know that with the "stackable coupon" sale Lenovo has going until the 16th, you can get this same system for $5464. So while not a *huge* discount, our price is still $475 or so less than retail. Also, and this is a big plus, there is no sales tax. We purchased these tax free, so that saves you another $425 or so (depending on what state you live in). Lastly, we'll pick up the shipping: FedEx Next day air.

We can accept payment for the laptop by wire transfer only. No checks of any sort, no COD. If you'd like to have Bill be an intermediary, we will pay the $50 for him to do the escrow. This is how it works: We send the laptop to Bill, and he'll verify that it is in fact a W700ds laptop. You send us a wire transfer for the agreed purchase price. When we get your payment we tell Bill it is OK to forward the laptop to you. We will pay for the FedEx NDA shipping for both legs of the journey.

The laptop was unpacked and started this morning just to verify that it isn't DOA. Otherwise it is new: not a single fingerprint on it. Battery and power brick has never been unwrapped, all documentation still sealed, etc. Below are the specs. It is maxed out with the exception of the WiFi (has the 5300 vs 5350)
