uninstalling WMP11?

#1 Post by sojourner » Sun Jun 14, 2009 2:32 pm

There are a lot of things I think MS has gone backwards on in W7, including WMP. Has anyone tried 'inactivating' WMP11 and installing WMP9 or 10? I am interested specifically in WMP9 or 10 ... already use WinAMP, MPC etc. etc.

I thought W7 has WMP 12 as the default. Here is a guide to downgrade to WMP11.

Opps, 'my bad' as they say. You are right, W7 has WMP12.
And thanks for the article on downgrading! Was tickled with delight to see it's possible :)

EDIT: just removed WMP12 and installed 11. WOW, it's like a breath of fresh air by comparison!
