SSD might be causing lockups on my T60(4GB mem, 2,06ghz)

Hi.

I recently upgraded my T60 with an OCZ 64GB SSD. It has dramatically improved the performance of the laptop but it has also created some new problems. I feel that if I have excessive SSD i/o all programs kinda free for a second or two. I have done what I could to run with the newest drivers from Lenovo so everything should be up to date.

Is this a coincidence or has anyone else noticed something similar and most importantly - is it fixable (without changing hardware).

System:
T60 - T7400 - ATI - 1680x1050 - 2x2GB mem modules - Vista Business SP2
Thinkpad W510, i7 720QM, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD+1TB HDD, 9-cell battery, homepage

It may be useful to read the OCZ forums as they have a lot of tips on how to improve performance of their slower drives.
