Video Capture

Picked up a JVC video camera for next to nothing
Attempted to capture the video to my trusting T30 with a USB2.0 card and the EasyCap device
No go.
Tried both Winblows movie maker and Ulead
No go

It has an iLink/firewire port out also, Im wondering if the crappy EasyCap is the real issue?

So Im looking flush fitting FireWire card and a cable
Any suggestion?
