Difference between Non-AMT and Non-TPM

#1 Post by ice031 » Mon Jun 22, 2009 12:40 am

Does anyone know the difference between Non-AMT and Non-TPM boards for the T400?

There are three boards available for the (Thinkpad T400) 2764-CTO model:

System board assembly, AMD M82XT 256 MB non-TPM (T400) -partnumber:42W8128
System board assembly, AMD M82XT 256 MB non-AMT (T400) -partnumber:42W8023
System board assembly, AMD M82XT 256 MB for non-AMT, non-TPM (T400) -partnumber:42W8110

The one I need is the 42w8023, as this is the part number that was listed on my order form when I bought my T400.

I've called IBM and they have my part number in stock, however, I would like to know what the exact differences are for these boards. I think all of these boards use both discrete/dedicated switchable graphics. But, other than that, any further insights would be great. :)

cheers~

Welcome to the forum.

You can read more on the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) here.

You can read more on the Intel AMT (Active Management Technology) here.

I sent you a PM (private message) regarding the board you need.
