HP Printer Problem

My printer defaults to Index card as the size for the paper. Which means I have to manually go in and change it to Letter size when I print something. How can I get Letter size to be the default size?

Could be a printer driver setting (Start/Settings/Printer and Faxes/ then right-click the printer in question and choose Properties), assuming we're talking about Windows XP or the like. There may also be an HP utility available from Start/Programs/<look for HP printer entry>. Failing that, try the HP support page:

Be sure your Printing Preferences settings are correct. That is where your default values normally come from. You get to that dialog either from the printer object context menu (right click on the printer icon), or from within the printer Properties dialog (General tab).
