Question about PMs

I sent a PM last night, and it is still in the Outbox, and not yet in the Sent folder.

Has it been sent yet?

Does it only get moved into the Sent folder after the person reads it?

Yes.

One problem is that some people have their pop-up blocker turned on in their browser and do not think to unblock the forum.thinkpads.com website. If pop-ups are allowed for forum.thinkpads.com, then a message waiting will be shown to the recipient by a pop-up window anytime a new page is displayed. Otherwise, the only indication is the number by "new messages" at the top of the forum, which can be easily missed.

An email notification is also sent out, but here again, not everyone checks their email in a timely manner, or do not have this websites email address in their whitelist.

Another possibility is they unchecked the 'notify me when i receive a private message' box in their control panel.
