pictures t43 systemboard please

hi everyone,

i tryed to reflowe the board but i went very wrong, i have several parts moved and went lose.

i need some pictures from the systemboard,if somebody can help me i searched the internet but the resolution from the pictures are to poor.

please help

Hi and welcome to the forums and very sorry you had to come here under these circumstances.

I have some T43 boards here and will photograph the area you're interested in - or the whole board both sides if you want - let me know what you want though.

Also can you give the FRU number of the motherboard - remove the bottom memory cover and remove any memory inside.
Underneath the memory there's a label with the FRU number on.

Also the model of the T43 - it's under the base and will be something like 2373-ab1.

To be honest, if a lot of components have also been unsoldered whilst trying a reflow, I'd say the ball grid array (BGA) on the graphics chip will also be damaged, so don't get your hopes up.

i have the FRU nr:39T0476 and at the bottom is the TYPE NR:2668-45G.

ut if you think it is not possible or to much damage then maybe you sell me a board if you have them as spare parts.

I think it would be very unlikely you'd be able to hand resolder some of those tiny surface mount components so a new board is a good idea.

The boards I have are not for sale unfortunately (don't belong to me!), and also I live in the UK and you'd end up paying far more from me than buying within the States.
What I suggest is putting a Want To Buy (WTB) advert in the forums Market Place; or of course there's eBay - just put in the FRU number into the search.

Note that your Thinkpad (TP) is fitted with the finger Print reader so any replacement board must support it.

Checking for other compatible boards (info via Lenovo System Service Parts page) you can also fit 39T0479

Also when you get a new board there's no guarantee the problem won't happen again, but you can greatly reduce the possibility by carrying it correctly.

In any case at least the information's correct or did I give it for a T400?!

but you can send me some pictures from the systemboard if you want , the area i am looking for is from the wlan socket up to the gpu, its left and above from the ICS chip where things went wrong.

if you do so i couldt give it a try to fix it.
