NHC (ex CHC) and IBMPowerManager - can they coexist together

#1 Post by Pawelek » Sat Jun 27, 2009 1:13 pm

Hi!

I have a question - can NHC and IBM Power Manager cooperate simultaneously ? Won't they interfere with each other - I mean IBM Power Plans with NHC performace plans. So far I have installed only PowerManager (it has many useful features not connected directly with performance issues), but I miss the easy way of switching performance states in NHC and its ability to control CPU Voltage. So finally - can I install NHC and use it with PowerManager ?

Ok. I have installed NHC, but the main feature (fast switching between CPU speeds) dosent work. My investigation has shown that under Win 7 everything is controlled by the OS, I guess even IBM PowerManager Plans are submitted to the Win 7 power settings. If you have some other solutions or thoughts about that please share them. I'd really like to have some possibilty to change CPU speed with only two mouse button clicks :D

For Win7, I don't use NHC or ThinkVantage Power Manager. Sorry, could help you.
