I just got a new X301 thinkpad and before I even purchased it I ordered a dual-band PCI Express Mini card with an Atheros chipset that is 802.11n compatible. The videos I saw online showed the X301 having 3 U.Fl micro-coax connectors for the laptop WiFi antennae, not just 2. I specifically bought a dual-band card with 3 antennae connectors on them so as to accommodate the stronger antennae in the X301...
But alas, I have received the laptop and the included Intel WiFi card has but TWO U.Fl connectors for the WiFi antennae! Just Main and AUX, not Main1, Main2, and AUX as I expected!
Unscrewing the back panels shows a yellow and white wire running down the RAM sockets into a hole in the mainboard, and out of the hole arises 1 grey and 1 black wire going to the main and aux connectors on the included Wifi port respectively.
Why does my X301 only have 2 WiFi antennae cables? Anyone else confirm a similar situation or have something different?
