Hard disk makes strange noise

Hi !

I juste owned a new T400 and i run Ubuntu 9.04 on it. The machine is really cool, but i can hear a strange noise coming from the harddrive. Actually, it's the only thing i can hear on that computer. It's very noisy. Moreover, the right bottom corner (thinkpad logo) is a little bit hot... I don't know if it's normal. Do you experience a similar behaviour ?

Maybe it's normal, i dont' know...
