Weird issue with themes on X41T

So I go to personalize, and if I click on the default theme, it'll attempt to change it, but it'll freeze. I let it sit for a good 2hrs and nothing happens. I reboot, and windows gets stuck on the welcome screen. I can tell that windows still loaded though, since I can hear the windows live messenger sounds when it logs in, but the screen doesn't change.
I can go to safe mode and do a system restore to fix it. But I've disabled system restore lately when I've gotten low on space, but I forgot not to press on the default theme icon.

Anyone else have this same issue? Now I just need to figure out a way to change my theme to something else that actually loads.
