Login with fingerswipe OR password

I have the Lenovo "fingerprint software" setup to allow me to log on to my ThinkPad with a finger swipe. However, this seems to remove the ability for me to login with a password. Is there any way to set things up so I can swipe my finger OR type my password to login?

How weird. That works, but only if the laptop is locked. That is, if I have logged in, but then locked the computer. At the standard log-in screen (such as when the computer is first turned on), clicking my name just prompts me to swipe my finger.

I reinstalled the Fingerprint Software and things seem to be working fine now.
