Indicator light?

#1 Post by toddreg » Fri Jul 10, 2009 2:27 pm

What does the indicator light that is second to the left from the power on button mean on an A31p. The online manual only shows 5 indicator lights but mine has 6 so I am not sure what this particular indicator means. It is a circle with a "z" kinda sideways inside the circle.

It's the scroll lock indicator.

Well, the first "indicator" directly to the left of the power button (something like I/O) simply means that the button is for power. It doesn't have an LED beneath it. The second symbol, the one with the slightly askew "Z" inside a circle is the Power LED. Going over to the left, the symbol that looks like a TV screen and has a double-ended vertical arrow is the screen lock indicator. After that, the "A" inside a large arrow is the Caps Lock light, the "1" inside another large arrow is the NumLk light and finally the "drum" with a sideways double-ended arrow is the HD activity indicator.

Like it said, it's the power indicator. I wasn't looking at a Thinkpad at the time. I have since used my X31 and T20, and, yeah, power indicator lamp.
