Advanced Mini-Dock Plus Series 3 for W500

Does anyone know if and when the Advanced Mini-Dock Plus "Series 3" will support the W500 or whether a version of that superior mini-dock will be offered for the W500? (At the present time, the Lenovo website says that only the T400s is supported.)

The new mini-dock will never support the W500.

What we hope and expect is that the newer revision of the W500 will support the new mini-dock.

Do you mean that there is likely to be a software or hardware upgrade to the W500 that will work with the Advanced Mini-Dock Plus Series 3, or that there will be a new model mini-dock that will be supported by the current W500?

I am particularly interested because I need to have two DVI outputs, which I understand is currently provided only by the Advanced Mini-Dock Plus Series 3. If that is not correct and there is another docking station that would provide two DVI outputs, I would appreciate being advised.

Neither.

I mean that the model which will replace W500 will support the new docks (hopefully). As unfortunate as it is, I think you are stuck with the current dock offerings for the W500. I doubt Lenovo will roll out an update to the docking stations which it wants to make obsolete, and I doubt a dock adapter will be issued.
