X200 - Mono or Stereo?

#1 Post by userguy » Mon Jul 13, 2009 12:32 pm

Hey guys,

I just got my X200 recently. It's a 7459 custom-model. After reading through several review sites and the TABook, many have listed in the specifications of the X200 that it has only a mono speaker. My X200, however, came with 2 speaker grilles, though I notice that sound is only produced from one of the grilles, no matter how I tweaked the settings. Is this suppose to be the case? And if so, why would Lenovo include 2 speaker grilles when only one is utilized?

Would appreciate your insights and thoughts on this.
Thank you.

There is only one speaker. I'm guessing there are 2 speaker grills simply for symmetry.

If you want some stereo sound you should carry around a small set of headphones to plug into the audio out jack.

Thanks for the clarification.
