Best wireless setup?

#1 Post by winslow » Wed Jul 15, 2009 11:26 pm

Looking to upgrade my wireless network. Currently have a belkin F5D7231 wireless G router, doesn't carry enough bandwidth, signal drops intermittantly. A real PITA when I'm trying to watch the ball game on mlb.com. Lokking to get N instead of G. Anyone have any recommendations for a good router and laptop pcmia/ usb card setup?

Linksys WRT300N router, or if you have money to burn: Linksys WRVS4400N
Matching PCMCIA card: WPC300N
Matching USB dongle: WUSB600N

The laptops in your signature only have 2 wifi cables, 802.11N needs 3 normally.
Probably works with 2 cables as well.
Look for a TP-Link TL-WN861N (from eBayer sib-wholesale)
When you buy, make sure it is NOT a PCI-e (express) card!
