Turbomemory problem

#1 Post by Eudoxus » Sat Jul 18, 2009 6:17 pm

Some days ago my Vista installation become somewhat messed up an so I decided to restore my system to the factory state. However it did not worked out as every time (yes, I did it for more than once) I tried to do that I got BSOD at the pont where turbo memory drivers were set up (it is in fact almost the end of that long tiresome process). I suspect that the turbo memory driver is the culprit. But the problem is that I do not know what to do about that. I thought may be it is possible somehow to disable (in BIOS) the turbo memory so that it is not detected during installation but I do not know whether it is possible and if so how to do that. Or may be there is some other way out of this mess? I will appreciate any suggestions!

Well, I solved this issue by removing that [censored] turbo memory chip from my ThinkPad. Now I have reinstalled my system and so far everything works like charm. My machine works even faster without that turbo crap.
