puttagee, what version of kaspersky are you running? What is the price?

I have the norton anti-virus and it works great.

I have been using the trial version of Kaspersky the last week or two. This is version 5.0.527. I am using the default settings.

Frankly, I think I had less of a system slowdown with Norton. Just a feeling though. I do feel better protected with Kaspersky. It automatically checks for updates every 3 hours (default setting, but adjustable from 1 hour to once a week).

The trial version is free and good for one month. The Download Version costs $39.95 for a year. The CD Package is $49.95 for a year. This is for Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0.
