the x61 replacement - what will it be ?

my x61 is now close to 2 yrs old, and I want a new machine, will only ever buy a thinkpad, what is coming next, does anyone know, specs, timeframes etc ?

Isn't the X200 the successor to the X61?
And the X200 is a year old and the current X model along with the X301.

x200 has pos ws. not exactly an equivalent replacement to the efficient business friendly x61 4:3 screen. imho.
industry is forcing us to 16:9 screens whether we like it or not. NOT!!

so...no x61 replacement is ever likely. that is why i just bought a spare x61 from the outlet for a measly $600. only bad thing about it is it came with vista. i popped xp on it and now i figure i am good for a loooong time.
