In all my years, this is my 1st laptop. I purchased it for my 20 yr old daughter for college.
T22 2647 8GU
The displayed disappeared, however it worked on a seprate monitor.
On advise I did the following.
* Downloaded lastest vid drivers.
*Take apart & check 'ribbon cable"
After a few screws I decided that I didn't have enough experience despite my pretty good desk knowledge.
Low & behold, when the battery was reinstalled, the display has come back!
Why?
p.s. I would be interrested in any info concerning:
1.) owners manual
2.) More ram
Thanks,
unc

I think there's a link to the IBM Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) page on the thinkpads.com website.
As for RAM, if the second slot is free, you can upgrade it with a so-DIMM.
