Yeah, I saw that too. It's too bad all of us older ThinkPad users are stuck on SATA 1.5 speeds. A X25-M in my ThinkPad running at full capacity would make it about perfect.

Newer ThinkPads use the 1.5 Gb/s speed as well, as I recall.

But the difference between a typical hard disk and a consistent 1.5 Gb/s speed is huge: if you can find an SSD that provides consistent performance even when near-full (Intels are pretty good for this), with sufficient capacity and an affordable (to you) price, I really wouldn't worry about getting 1.5 Gb/s vs something like 2.0 (or whatever) Gb/s -- you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference without a stopwatch anyway.

Newer ThinkPads use the 1.5 Gb/s speed as well, as I recall.

The current ThinkPad platforms support SATA II transfer rates.

If I correctly read the Tabook the SATA II is for 1,8' drives, the 2,5' are still on SATA I !??
