Can I use a Thinkpad T42 screen in a T40?

I busted my T40 14" LCD but I'm finding a lot of T42 "parts" computers out there... if the screen sizes are the same, can I take one out of a T42 and put it in a T40? how about the hard drive? CD/DVD drive?

As long as the 'new' machine is the same size as your own (i.e. both 14" or 15"), all parts between T40/T41/T42 will fit.
If you get SXGA+ instead of XGA LCD (or v.v.), use the matching LCD cable and inverter.
