Xubuntu Install Probs

Posted this thread. Could my NEC DVD RW drive be incompatible with Linux Xubuntu? A driver problem maybe?

The NEC DVD RW did indeed seem to cause a few problems under Xubuntu 8.04 but Hitachi drive worked perfectly.
