CD/DVD Drive disappeared from My Computer view

Hello,

I have a SL500 thinkpad running Vista basic edition. I noticed yesterday that my CD/DVD drive does not
appear when I go to "My Computer". All the hard drives show up, but not the DVD drive. Is there anyway
I can get it back out there? It still works, I can put a CD in it and the games on the CD pop up. It's as if
Vista has lost that device in this particular view.

Update - of course mysteriously it has re-appeared. Ain't Vista great!?!
