Boot T40 Without Key Board
I have a T40 system board that I would like to test first before selling on Ebay. The problem is I don't have a keyboard to plug into it, so there's no start button to get it to boot. Is there another way I can boot this board into bios - just to see if it works?
Re: Boot T40 Without Key Board
AFAIK, you need either a keyboard, or a dock with a power button on it.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

You can try WOL (Wake-On-Lan) dunno will it work without keyboard attached.

Re: Boot T40 Without Key Board
The suggestion of using a dock (port replicator) is the best. These cost only around $15 for the T4x series, and are well worth the money for testing boards. You'll also need at least one RAM module, plus a PS/2 keyboard, plus an external monitor to test.
