Hi guys,
Just a quick one. Has anyone else had an issue with the battery lock on one side not engaging properly and as a result the battery can move enough that it loses contact with the power connector and the machine turns off?
The issue is with the spring loaded clip that is supposed to engage on the side of the battery. I have the issue with both the 6 & 8 cell battery, both of which are original lenovo parts.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gordon.

If it's still under warranty send it in for repair. To replace that latch/spring you have to remove the systemboard.
