W700 - IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0x0000000A BSOD
W700 - IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0x0000000A BSOD
Hi All,
I am getting a:
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0049005C, 0x00000002, 0x0000000, 0x81E524E7)
Blue Screen Of Death / BSOD on my lenovo Thinkpad W700 w/ 4gb ram. It only happens on random occasions & after searching the internet I cant find any resolution & there is no information or solution/patches available from lenovo. I really need to fix!
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Care to shed any light on how you resolved it?
Thanks a lot
bur

Re: W700 - IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0x0000000A BSOD
This actually just happened to me a couple weeks ago. I got the IRQ error, page fault error, and memory management error.
Solution:
Download memtest from here: http://hcidesign.com/memtest/download.html
Check for memory errors. If memtest does not return errors, then it is a driver related issue. You can try booting up your machine in safe mode where minimal drivers are being used and then see if you get BSODs. If it is a driver related issue, make sure you have installed working drivers such as Intel Matrix Storage Manager especially the SATA AHCI controller. If memtest returns errors, either 1) memory modules are faulty in which case you need new RAM 2)connection of modules to motherboard are faulty in which case try a different slot. Hope this helps!

Just curious, how long have you had your W700? Does it still have the stock RAM?

Interesting. Well, if it is the RAM you should be able to get lenovo to replace it assuming the machine is still under warranty.

I got that on T61, T61p, and W500 (all with Vista), the Intel wireless driver proved to be the culpit. Just go to Intel website to update to the lastest drivers, then it should go away.bur wrote:Hi All,

Never got it on W500, but on all the machines where I did get it was related to defective RAM sticks.

Re: W700 - IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL STOP 0x0000000A BSOD
Usually the memory problem and not matched memory as well. I had this happen with Dell notebook using almost same memory Hynix sticks but difference is one letter in the part number and memory package sizes is different. Also GPU memory were not cooled due to missing thermal pads. Now I can push hard and not get blue screens.
I still vote for change for exactly matched memory and see. Memtest+ will not always catch this.

In my W700 help updated wifi driver, but still automatically turn on from standby or hibernate mode. He don't turn on automatically only when I close system. very strange for me, in system log is only info about updated system clock.
