3 yr Depot warranty worth it?

#1 Post by krymson » Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:35 pm

Hi all,

I know back in the day of IBM thinkpads the warranty service was very good, but I heard recently the provider has changed and they are not as hot.

I am thinking about getting a X200s right now. Do you guys think a 3yr depot warranty is worth it?

I am pretty handy mechanically and and have no problem replacing memory, palmrests/keyboards on thinkpads, so please take that into account.

Yes.

On any new machine in the given price range, extended warranty is well worth it.

And service provider is still the same BTW.
