t23 system restore by itself???
hi i have an ibm thinkpad t23 1.13ghz and 768 ram. i tried to make my girlfriend her own limited account(because she snoops through my stuff otherwise). i logged off my account, which was labeled "luke" i am the computer administrator. i logged on to the limited account labeled "megan" and all was well. then i logged off to go back to my account... and instead of "luke" there was now "administrator" i clicked on it and logged in, without my password my old account had, and the desktop was set to the one it had when i purchased it off of ebay a few months back... some of the programs i have installed since are present, but some are not. it seems that somehow my computer restored its own system... is there any way i can get it back? i lost many documents and pictures along with all my settings on my old account.

Re: t23 system restore by itself???
I don't think that your system restored Windows; more like you're seeing individual desktops of different login accounts. The "missing" programs that you've installed along the way may not have placed themselves in the "All Users" settings. In other words, those programs may only be available to the account you installed them under.
You might be able to enter "luke" in the Windows login box (replacing "administrator") and see if that gets you back to where you can find your files. Unless you were prompted by Windows during the account creation process and specified "yes" to removing files, none of the files should have been deleted.
