Software Installer: is it supposed to work?

#1 Post by thinkpac » Tue Aug 11, 2009 2:03 am

I have Software Installer 3.21.0601 on my T60. When I run it, and then select "Install or upgrade driver(s) or software", and then check the "Retrieve latest information on the internet" box and click Next, nothing happens. If I click on Next enough times, sometimes I see an error saying "The host name in the certificate is invalid or does not match".

I see that Software Installer is no longer available at ibm.com, but I thought I saw some posts from people who said that they are still able to use it.
