does the X4 dock serial port work with the x41 tablet?

hi, I'm wondering if I can use the X4 dock serial port with a X41t tablet. Sorry for what might be a dumb question, but I'm not completely clear on what a 'pass through' port really is -- does this just mean it allows you to use the ports already in the laptop itself?

If it actually adds ports, do I need to do anything to the tablet to get the serial port to work? Thanks.

After installing the X41t on the X4 Dock, you can take a look at the Device Manager list and find the serial port.
