My T61 locks up about every 4th time I power on. The symptoms are that the mouse/cursor is frozen in place, the arrow keys don't work and the CtrlALT/Del doesn't function. The only thing I can do is to hold the Power Off key down until the system powers down. Sometimes it takes 2-3 of these cycles to get a good Power On. After that I have no problems.
We have fiveT61's at my company. I recommended these PCs to replace HP laptops, but 3 of the five have this intermittant problem. Has anyone else experience this problem and found a fix? Unfortunately, our PCs are out of warranty.
