T41p - Screen noise and shutdowns.

Hi.

I bought this cheap T41p planning to use it as a file server and for the occasional render.

The first problem I'm having is this noise on the screen See Here which usually starts a while after boot and disappears when I press in the area of the trackpad.
I've noticed that there are some screws missing on the underside so might that solve it?
If so where do I get some? (I live in Israel)

The second problem is shutdowns, sometimes it's up for five days, sometimes it turns off after half an hour.

Help would be appreciated.

Hey, that's exactly what mine does, except for the shutdowns part. I suspect it is the usual T4x GPU problem. I am going to attempt to reflow the graphics chip on my T41's motherboard to see if it will fix the problem. Hopefully it will, and then I can sell it.
