The 4.0, BUT, neither one is a genuine IBM battery.n00b1337 wrote:which one is better? the IBM with 3.6 ah or panasonic with 4.0 ah? i think the panasonic should last longer am i right?

I have one for sale.
Genuine 4000 mah IBM battery and X2 Ultrabase with DVD (Hitachi 8X). I sold my X21 last year and was meaning to put these on eBay, but never did.
The battery was only used for about a week, and was purchased drect from IBM.
Both are in like-new condition.
Make an offer.

There are no IBM batteries. They are all Mitsubishi (Panansonic), Sony, Sanyo... etc.
IBM does not make batteries. They only put in their electronics that drives the lithium cells.
With the new BIOS that they released, they check if the IBM electronics is on board, otherwise they send a error message and stop working.
It is like Mercedes telling you: you better buy gasoline from Mercedes approved gas stations, and oh, only use the Mercedes brand gasoline in those special pumps... great, sounds much like Sony these days (same, same, but slight different and not compatible)

A bit more like a car working only if it's repaired with "genuine Mercedes original equipment" partsbeeblebrox wrote: It is like Mercedes telling you: you better buy gasoline from Mercedes approved gas stations, and oh, only use the Mercedes brand gasoline in those special pumps... great, sounds much like Sony these days (same, same, but slight different and not compatible)
