Thinkpad and service repair (Warranty)

#1 Post by WarhawkCZ » Sat Aug 22, 2009 2:30 pm

Hello,
I would like to ask you about servicing my Thinkpad laptop T500. I bought that laptop with 3 year extended warranty and accidental damage protection last year when I was in USA for summer (because my old laptop died and shout be still covered with warranty). These days, I am in US again and I need service my laptop, because my battery lost its capacity after 140 cycles (power manager reports 51% of orginal capacity).
I checked lenovo webpages, but It is little bit tricky find something useful. Generally, there are two options :

EasyServ service, where is available send Laptop directly to Lenovo or servicing with Lenovo Service provider. I found service provider close to my work, but I'm not sure about that.

Can you please recommend me the best way which would work for me?

If you have a permanent mailing address my recommendation would be to use easyserv. Just call them up and describe the issue. If all goes well they will ship you a new battery. There is a one year warranty on the battery.
